The NLFA was established in 2020 by Ms. Jennifer Bell (Ms. Jenn) as everyone calls her.
Ms. Bell is from Terry, Ms., and is the former owner of the 601 Vipers Developmental Football Team and host of 5th Quarter Live (talk show) hosted via Facebook (2018-2021). She was also the former commissioner of the MEFL (2019-2020)
She was featured in the Jackson Free Press' "Best of 2019" edition due to her unwavering efforts in Developmental Football and using her outlet to make a positive impact not only on her players but her community.
The NLFA is ran on the premise of family, respect, unity and community service. Although she is the newest & youngest to own a developmental football league, she doesn't allow the doubtful glares of onlookers to bother her. "It only adds fuel to my fire"' she stated. "Tell me what I can't do, and I will wear stiletto heels while I do it ".
"I am not, nor will I ever be in competition with anyone else. The only person I am trying to be better than is the person I was the day before", says Ms. Jenn.
She stresses to all members (kings as she affectionately calls them) of the NLFA that they will conduct themselves as men of standard & adapt to a kingdom mindset. " This is chess not checkers, and we will remain professional and respectful at all times, as we navigate this journey of growth both on and off the field".
"If you come into my league a boy, I guarantee you will leave a man"
